Living in a Country like India, with never ending festivals throughout the year, every day seems to be a Festival. But, this time of the year Beginning with DIWALI has its own charm for every one of us.  The Heavy Wedding Season is also a Part of these few Months from Diwali till New Years. Dressing up well and to have the best version of you in front of your friends and family becomes a Pre Requisite. Let it not be stressful to you anymore, as i will share few things out of my experience which will make picking the right outfit and styling it at its best will become easy for each and everyone of you.

What is Festive Fashion?

Fashion during Festive Season doesn’t become anything different from the rest of the year. The Trends remain the Same, but there is a Festive Flavour when it comes to Styling for Diwali Dinners, Weddings,and New Year’s eve. Bright Colours, Heavy Outfits, Lots of Jewellery becomes one of your choices.

Few Points that will make it easy for you to make the Right Choices in Fashion:

Bright Colours: When you’re happy and festive, you automatically choose bold and vibrant colours when picking your outfits for festivals and weddings. This year has its own Favourites. Orange, Purple, Hot Pink, Deep blue and Deep Red are the go to colours for your Lehengas, Sarees and Anarkali’s this year.

    

Bling (In the right amount) :  Bing, if used in the right amount and right areas, can elevate your outfit. Here’s How. Use bling on parts of your body, you would want to highlight in your Outfit. For Example : Add Bling to the Sleeves of your Anarkali, if you want to accentuate your well toned Arms. The Same way you Could add bling to the waist line of your lehenga to highlight your Stomach. Moderation in Bling  is the key to a Stylish and Fashionable Garment which will catch the Appropriate Amount of Attention.

Latest trends: Wearing a Repetitive Fashion Spoils the fun of Dressing up. Staying updated with the latest trends in Fashion becomes mandatory for those who are very conscious about their styling and want to look best at all the parties they attend. Indian wear might not be a cup of tea for everyone. for which, One of the Latest trends in Festive Clothing this year is Fusion wear, which combines  Modernity and Ethnicity in One Outfit. Dressing as per your Body: Most of us dream of a Body, we wish to have and do everything possible to achieve it, be it dieting, working out for hours in the Gym. But, while we are trying to get to our Goal, We Should also celebrate the body that we have at present. Starting of which is, by Styling right according to our Body. Therefore it is very important to balance the outfit. Go for Minimal , when there is a lot happening in the Outfit itself. Small Earrings or a Bracelet will do. Makeup and Hairstyling:  Festive Fashion stays incomplete without the right kind of Makeup and Hairstyling. Embellish your Outfit with the Right kind of Makeup and Hairstyle.

Well Defined Eye Makeup stays a Favourite among the Indian Girls, as Liners and Kajal’s are and will stay one of the most element in the Indian Makeup. Balance your look, by going subtle on the Eyes and Bold with your Lipstick. Red and Hot Pink Lips are a rage this year.

Last but definitely not the least, is the most important element in your styling, your Hairstyle. Choosing the right kind of hairstyle as per your face is important, but more important is to have a hair do which is in vogue, too. Curls with Bouffants, Side Buns, Twisters with Curls are amongst the Favourite Hairstyles, this festive season.

Not so simple Makeup and Hairstyling advice for work

Competition runs in the Corporate Environment, even when it’s about your makeup and hair do for work. Every women wants to look her best everyday.

The busy Lifestyle in Metropolitan Cities, doesn’t give you a lot of time to spend on your looks for work. So, you need Quick Fixes in Makeup and Hairstyling, that will help you look good to work and at the same time will not be time consuming at all.

              

Makeup and Hairstyles at work don’t have to be Simple and Boring. A Mix of Trendy and Professional, is the best way to make sure that you look Stylish to Work, without affecting the Decorum of the Corporate Culture.

Brainwash all those simple hairstyles and nude makeup lessons that you took from your friend or watched on the internet. Being “not- so simple” should be the new rule for your makeup and hairstyles at work.  The idea here is not to go all out, with bold lipsticks or flashy coloured eye shadows, but to look fashionable and professional at the same time.

OFFICE LOOK

MAKEUP TIPS 

• Start with cleansing, toning and moisturising your face. Moisturising is an essential key to beautiful looking skin and best results with makeup.
• Depending on your skin type, choose a skin primer. A nourishing primer to normal to dry skin and gel based/ matte finish primer for oily skin. This prepares a good under base for your makeup.
• For office, do not wear too much of foundation but for your important meetings, wear some Foundation to even out / brighten up your skin tone.
• A drop of foundation is enough for day time/ office wear. Blend it all over your face and neck.
• Settle it with little bit of compact. If your skin is way too dry, you can skip the powder.
• Use a blush in soft peach, pink , coral along your cheek bones to brighten the face.Use an eye kohl in brown or mascara on your eye lashes.
• Complete the look with a soft lip color in nude, pink or peach. One can choose from a moisturising lip color or a tinted lip conditioner. When running for those important meetings, add a touch of gloss to the lips.
• This much makeup for your important meeting, screams confidence.

 

HAIRSTYLES

Quick and easy , yet professional look for the office is always a bun , hair knot. Divide your hair into two sections – crown and nape. Take the crown section , comb it and secure with hair pins on the back and the end of the crown. This is a half tie, blend it with the nape hair section into a low pony tail. Now take the length of the pony tail and twist it around the rubber band, use some u pins to secure this in shape of a bun/ twist. 5-6 pins around this will be enough to secure.

 

For those of you, who love to have their Hair open, Bouffants, are the way to go. Important Meetings demand extra grooming and styling. Opt for Puffed hair in the Front, with the rest of the Hair blow-dried.
